La Indita Tucson AZ Fourth Avenue

Located right on 4th Avenue and 5th street, La Indita Restaurant serves homestyle, Mexican and Native American food and specialize in vegetarian options. This family owned restaurant serves recipes brought here by their family from a tiny village deep in Mexico. A beautiful giant mural on the wall depicts the Tarascas Indian village from the Mexican State of Michoacan and the staff, which is made of almost all family are kind people and happy to share their rich family history and heritage if you ask.

When you walk inside, you’ll immediately smell the spices of Mexican food. There are plenty of tables for large parties and also wooden booths to sit at and a patio in the back. La Indita gives out a very relaxed and friendly, family environment and there’s always plenty to choose from on their menu.

Homemade chips and salsa are complimentary and the salsa is made in house daily. You must try their speciality the Tarascan Taco. You could get it in a combo to try other things or in it's own plate. Another great choice is the authentic homemade chicken mole that is served with rice and beans. One thing that sets this restaurant apart from other Mexican restaurants is La Indita has lots of veggie and vegetarian options, which is not always a common theme in Mexican restaurants.

If you are out and about late night on the weekend they offer a late night menu that is designed to cater to the after hours bar crowd. Located right next to IBT's you can't miss it. You can order and dine outside at the mini bar area located right on the sidewalk strip or go into the back and enjoy the back patio. A special late night food and drink menu is provided. I highly recommend the sangria or fresh homemade Mexican juice drinks.

La Indita also serves breakfast on the weekends and you can order carryout online through their website. Carry out hours are 11 AM - 9 PM and 9 AM - 9 PM on Sundays.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food experience and want to support local, small, family run business, La Indita is a great choice.

Have fun on 4th Avenue,
Tony Ray
